What it is
A Figma plugin that adds a unique ID to the name of every layer. 1.4k people use it, according to Figma Community.
Why I built it
Principle animates layers that share a name between two or more frames. Design systems make repeated names unavoidable, so Principle would animate the wrong layers. Renaming them by hand took longer than the animation.
How it works
Select layers, run the plugin, and each one gets a unique ID added to its name. Layers you want Principle to match across frames keep their shared name.
