What it is
A Figma plugin that creates a scale of colors for a design system, including the dark mode colors. 11.1k people use it, according to Figma Community.
Why I built it
Every new project started the same way: take the brand color and make ten shades of it by hand. It was slow, and the shades never came out consistent from one project to the next.
How it works
Pick a color and the plugin draws the scale as rectangles on the canvas. Rename them and turn them into color styles.
Built with
Figma Plugin API, in 2022. I wrote it by hand, before AI could write code.
